The U.S. military conducted a counterterrorism strike against al-qaida operatives in Yemen – killing three. The strike took place on August 4th in the Shabwah Governate in central Yemen. The U.S. is putting pressure on the al-Qaida organization in Yemen to prevent them from plotting and executing attacks against the United States and Americans.
