The Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) presented a panel discussion entitled “What is the Role of Special Operations Forces in Ukraine? Signaling the Future”. Participants included the command team of Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR) and other panel members with significant experience in Europe.

Topics included the comprehensive defense concept, resistance operating concept, role of U.S. SOF in training Ukrainian SOF, lessons learned, SOFs advantages in the ‘gray zone’, access and placement, advising from a distance, SOF on the ground in Ukraine, popular resilience, force structure of Ukraine SOF, information operations by Ukraine and Russia, relationship formation, SOEUR engagement with Ukraine from 2014 to present, the ‘ages’ for SOF, partnering relationships, SOF strengths in a resistance environment, and more.
